McCormack Farms, Rock Star, the one with the floppy point in his comb, was my cull, but some in this forum convinced me to give him a try. Glad I did because his was fertilizing my Wyandotte's eggs at six months! Fertility is a big problem right now with some of the Gold Laced lines. I also like the way he watches the sky when the girls are out. A bonus was his lacing. I am willing to bet that his "skirt" will lace out completely. If I get one cockerel out of him with a comb that doesn't flop, I'll be happy.

, I agree, looking at everyone's pictures here can be dangerous. Then, mother nature helps by drowning us here in the southeast with 6-8 inches of rain each day for two days now. When you're trying to water, feed, and muck pens in the rain, one is reminded that a small flock is OK too.
Dee it is raining here again too. We have already had 20 inches. I had to move my young blues to a wire pen off the ground which is not as big as the they were in but Water was up on the inside on the concrete. Just the water cant soak in, I had to move Cock bird to a diffrent pen also cause he was flooded.
I have never seen this much rain back to back. We have roads close due to water over he bridges.
I have got to go out and check on everyone before I leave for work this morning.

Oh my goodness, Julie. Our whole town will be under if this keeps up. The forecast says rain all day too. We've had flash flood warnings for two days now. The ground, which is nothing but red clay here, is so saturated that there's nowhere for the water to go. Noah's Ark!!
Here's the debut of my little black chicken nuggets that Nellie sent me. (Sorry about the poopy sand box.) The little black chunky chick in the middle, standing, doesn't really have red/pink down. Nellie marked him at hatch for me. I keep up with strange things.
Here's my prediction for the Fall: the GL chick that's closest to the wall will be my next breeder. Picked him/her out when he was 12 hrs old. The other one, Kay, will be my next generation of girls. She's not pictured here. She from my first test hatches. Picked her out at 12 hrs too! DragonLady is going to freak when she reads this. She always reminds me to be patient.
