The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

I have a roo who looks like he is getting the job done, but no fertile eggs yet.

I have trimmed my jubilee roo also hoping for some fertile eggs.

I'm not going to have any hair left.

Oh man! I hate when that happens...........

I know my patients are running low on my 4 girls. They have been red in the face for months and still nothing. They have to be getting close to 10-12 months old by now. Not that I really know... What age do they start showing wattles and a bit of color? I'd love to try to figure out how old these girls really are!

A veteran BYC'er once told me a KFC box in the coop straightens them right out .....

My only English Orpington. A cockerel hatched 6/30/12. I really love his shape and temperment. He is a sweetheart. I like his dark eyes and his wide load.

And lastly, shakin out his tail feathers after a healthy, loud cock-a-doodle-doo!

Feel free to toss your thoughts on this guy my way. I'm VERY open to learning. What type traits should I look for in a hen to pair up to him...
He is just beautiful!

I am about to run out of the foam shipping blocks I bought from Fowlrus last yr... Does anybody know if she is still selling them and how I can get in touch with her?? sorry I know it is off topic but most of us are shipping eggs this time of yr.
