That's some beautiful pasture you have kiniska.. those birds going to love all the grazing..they will flourish out there..watch those hawks thou..thats A cute baby starter pen too..I have a couple of those..so valuable then I farm them into bigger huts..we will be building a barn too..if we didn't have to sleep we would get everything done..
Thanks Aveca! Yeah we have nets we are going to canopy the small run with. Plus the fence is going to have electric strands run around the outside. Then we are going to make a 10' wide run for our dogs around the chicken runs. The baby coop has a solid base. The big coop will be a dirt floor with hardware cloth all the way around under the dirt. If a predator get past all that they have earned dinner.

Looks a little like my juvie coop! I need to make their yard a little bigger.

This one has a ten by ten yard. Do you think that is sufficient? Eventually there will be 5 bantams in this coop.

Nice setup. They'll lay the best eggs from free ranging on that pasture. Did you use a plan for your chick coop?
