Each persons eye is different..to some there is a huge difference..to others..there are few difference's. When it is on my plate, I have no idea if it is English or American. To my eye, when I see them in a field, there is a huge difference. Hop on the web and take a look at pictures of Orpingtons. See if you see a difference.

Overall the Standards for both types aren't that different, but the breeder's participating in the hobby have bred birds to their liking, as you can tell both deviating from the SOP. But we're not discussing SOP here, right?!
