The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Julie, you can call her "Patches". Pretty girl.
Christabelle, your splash hasvery nice type.

Tblee, welcome to the forum! Is the Gold Laced a bantam?

beautiful splash everyone!! ..!!! that white one is so interestring.. will be interesting to see what she will produce.. she appears to be a pure white too.
Yes she is pure white.. Sure would be nice to have a quality white roo to breed her to ... in hopes of correcting the leg colore.

I think I read it in that Orpington Book I got from England... that Whites do come from BBS breedings. Have to look it up when I have time.

Thank you Dee, I think that would be a great name and probably will do that.
Thank you Vickie. I have never had one hatch in all these years with a a complete patch of blue. She is a sweet girl too.

Love the splashes. Julie I've always just loved your birds. That splash is no exception.

Love the blacks too. I swear some day I'll have room for another color and blacks are what I'm going to get. Someday.

Anyhow it is nice to see the pictures this morning! Pretty birds make my day brighter.

No she's LF Orpington but she has joined a mixed flock of polish and pekin bantam the orpingtons are very good in mixed flocks of smaller chickens I've found :)

Seems like I never stop worrying about who might be a roo. This is my current source of concern (I can't have a rooster in my neighborhood).

"She" was feather sexed as a pullet at 3 days. Feet/legs are no bigger than any of my other chicks but she is feathering out slower than my other English Orp and the comb..... What do you think. I hope not - I'm loving her coloring!

She looks a lot like a he. Hope I'm wrong.
