if the breeder said he would swap with you...I would take him up on that offer....at least ask if that offer still stands. 

do you think I should wait for a while longer to be sure? Any thoughts on how hard introducing a new pullet to my other 4 would be?

Here is a pic I took today of my unique splash pullet who has a whole patch of solid blue

Her back side. She is six months and the blue girl behind her is almost 5 months now

Maybe around 3 months. If I ever introduce new birds into a flock I do it in pairs . Always works better for older birds. they don't pick on them as much,

She is so pretty and so fluffy. If it was me I would breed with her, see if you can't get more of those big splashes. They'll have to invent a new name. Maybe Holstein Orpington ;-)

I of course will be using her in the breed pen. It will be interesting to see if I ever get another like her pattern. Thank you for your compliments on her. She is a pretty thing. Hard not to be fluffy when your mama is one fo these girls here
