The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Is it typical for pullets to have red around their eyes? I've been thinking this was a pullet. not much comb development but definitely pink around the eyes. And am I seeing saddle feathers. I'm hoping not. My other English Orp just went back to the breeder because he was definitely a roo.

"She" is 9 weeks in these pics.

awww man!! but he seems to have bo in him dont you think?
Aaisha, TYPE makes the breed. COLOR makes the variety. This bird could have any number of breeds in his pedigree.Look at photos on the BO thread .Here is a proper male Buff Orpington at about the same age. Can you see the difference in Type/ shape ?

Hi Hon thank you for looking at my birds. The pictures you are looking at of mine are 100 English. No you have what is called is Sunset orpingtons, he is nice Hon. It is a cross between an Orpington/RIR. They are created because of the bright colors you see in as well they are very universal as an all around bird. Feel free to ask me share anytime. Vivi
