The Hinkles used to claim that they didn't have English blood in any of their lines... I don't know if that's what they're still saying.

Those Blacks certainly look to be at least a percentage English though, IMO.

Well- it has the leg feathering of the imported partridge orps. Maybe a split? I dunno, it defiantly looks black to me. Did you buy the eggs, or are they your own? If they are yours I'd say you have a sneaky roo

Black Copper Marans chick. We raise both black coppers and Oprs., I would check with the person it came from and see if they raise both. It could have just gotten mixed in when they were shipped.

Your probably right, but it would have to be one heck of a light BCM egg.
