The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Does anyone have pics of 5-6 month old English Blue Orpingtons? I just traded for a trio and they are black. I asked the guy and he said they'd grow blue fluff when older. Just trying to see if i got snookered. I have 4 buff hens and 4 buff pullets, 1 splash pullet, 1 splash roo that was supposedly a girl too. 1 blue/red roo and a buff/blue roo. I was so ecstatic to find English Blues, but now I want to make sure he was honest.
i have some blue English Orpingtons in my grow out pen

Hi all....I am looking for one or two chocolate Bantam EO hens/pullets for the nice rooster I have. I am in Michigan and would prefer the states in this area to start as I would prefer to drive. Any help or direction would be really appreciated...Google does not help much with this request! Thanks!

the white ears are worrying me...

I also took pic's of one of my girls that's supposed to be a BJG hen,
but I'm sorta wondering if she's a Black Orp.

(named her Grumpy cause she's all the time GROWLING)
She doesn't look anything like my Australorp, I took pic's of her too

(BooBoo, I've talked of her on other threads)
Not much comb or waddel, not ANY red on her yet. My male lorp has some BIG legs and feet on him.

So what ya'll gotta say for me? Did I get snookered?
It'll be ok if they're blacks as long as they ARE Orpingtons.

I'm sorry but they do not look like Orpingtons to me. The white earlobes and the sharp tail angle are very non-Orpington. They appear as though they could be Orpington mixes. Is it possible for you to speak to the breeder you got them from? It would be very unfortunate if they are selling these as Orpingtons; that would be very dishonest of them. They are still beautiful though!!!
