I have three pipped now. Sandy in the picture can you point out the splash ones?
The splash chicks that hatch will look silvery-white Cheryl, they'll be the most noticeable if you do get one. It's the dark blues and the blacks that I always have trouble telling apart!
Cheryl - YAY !! Glad your orps eggs are showing some good signs
Payette - You won't find these at a hatchery !! Parent birds were imported from England.
Jeremy - Yes, both yours and Beth's chicks are being hatched at the same time. Beth already has 4 that were hatched last week and she will get 2 more out of what is hatching now. No need to tell apart...I'll just snag 2 out of this hatch for Beth and send you the remainder.
Progress - 6 hatched, 1 zipping, and the rest with nice big pips. Can't tell color yet on 4 of them as they are still pretty wet - but definitely have 2 light blues.
I hope we get a couple of splashes, one for each of you, but these guys aren't throwing many splashes. I have had 0 splash chicks from Winston and these hens. The only splash chick that I have gotten is the little girl (Luna) from Clementine. I do know that a couple people that have hatched my eggs have gotten a splash here and there, but I don't think very many.

Beth, I think it's so fun that we're getting babies at the same time! We'll have to coincide our record keeping to see how our chicks "siblings" all grow.
I have no finger nails left... BTW... waiting on these babies.
It turns out it's even more nerve racking for me waiting on chicks that I'm not hatching myself, because there's no variables I can control, you know? It's just wait wait wait.
Joy mentioned she was planning/getting ready for a vacation, that might be what's keeping her attention right now.
