Daphne - I meant to tell you that our roosts are very, very low because we don't want any hurt legs jumping off the roost. Ours are probably only 3-4 inches off the ground.

I FINALLY got my first Bama pullet egg today, it only took 9-1/2 months!!

It is already as big as my lav orp eggs and they are very large eggs!

Here is a picture of one of my bama girls, lets just say she want not happy about having her picture taken today.

Her sister is the one that laid the egg and I think this girl is right behind her.

I would LOVE to have a setting of eggs from any of the beautiful Blacks that I have seen posted here. A young man of 10 went to the Ohio Nationals this year hoping to come home with some but there were none there. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated. I hate to see the young ones disappointed.
