Thank you Kathy!

We're working on a reconstructing their coop this weekend so it'll be slightly bigger. I'm worried about just how large they are going to become.

Jeremy - Thanks for posting pictures !! I can't believe how big they are getting. I love the facial expression on #1 and #4. Beautiful lacing on #5. #6 is gorgeous - is that Alice?

My husband took a few pictures the other day - so thought I'd post them.

Joy, the O's are spectacular, I think I need some babies from them! You can't forget my Bluebell babies, yes plural, either. LOL. I would love to have a little Bluebell Jr running around here.

What boy do you plan on putting with them?

Thank you for your compliments, all the credit is yours of course. They really do get bigger and bigger every day it seems like, I find myself tripping over their big bums more and more because they are always right next to me when we're outside. They've grown out of their baby shyness that's for sure!

The pretty girl in photo #6 is Elizabeth, she's a bit darker than Alice but I love the contrast between her lighter feathers and the dark lacing.

Can you tell me what you think about my blue boy? I'm on the fence about whether or not he is going to be a keeper, today him and Edmund were sparring and he took a nip out of Edmund's left wattle. I was so mad!

Hey Jeremy - Thanks !! I kinda love The O's too. Winston and Clementine are still my favorites. Winston has a very special place in my heart because of all we've been through with him. As big and massive as he is, he is just a big ole baby. He's just a good boy. But I can't take any credit for them - all the credit goes to Winston and the girls - they sure have produced some beautiful children, haven't they? I'm hoping to have some chicks available from The O's and Bluebell this Spring. Bluebell's comb and wattles have really gotten red and I"ve seen Hagrid doing "the dance" around her, but she hasn't started laying yet, DRAT !!

I'm not sure who I'm going to put Bluebell with yet. We go back and forth....probably will put her with Nigel, but not 100% sure about that. We change our minds who we are going to put with who every day !! LOL. I'll let you know. I'm sure that I am going to put The O's with Sirius, though. I can't wait to see the chicks from that mating !!

Elizabeth is just lovely !! I really like her loose ground feathering and her lacing is beautiful...all your girls look to have beautiful lacing.

Is the last picture the blue boy you're asking about? Can you get a better picture of him...maybe a side view too? Are his eyes light or was that the camera (I think you mentioned this earlier in your post)? I hope Edmund is okay !! Winston and Hagrid had a sparring match the other day - neither one of them backed down - I had to get my "chicken herding stick" to break them up.

Question for you all??? Has any of you ever had one of your roosters do "the dance" around you? WHen I went down yesterday morning to let them out, Hagrid came right up to me and actually did the dance around me ! I backed him into a corner and by the time I turned around, he was dancing around me again. I've told Julie that he has been looking at me funny for the last few weeks, but this is the first time I've ever had a rooster do his little dance around me. He wasn't aggressive, didn't try to charge me or jump at me. I was so surprised. I asked him what on earth he thought he was doing, but he wouldn't answer me !!

Love the pictures! I can sit and look at them forever!

About the dancing roo ..... I have not experienced it, but I have read that it means he is trying to be Alpha above you. I read that you should not allow it, and should pick him up and carry him around with you, to let him know you are the Alpha.

Nava he looks like a big boy. I think he also looks like he has more American blood in him, just because he isn't as fluffy, but that could be if he is molting. I just love black Orps.
