The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

I am so excited for you, Joy! I keep checking in to see your progress!

I put 44 English eggs in the incubator on March 22 at 2AM. Can I candle them yet?

Joy, if you are not gonna leave those eggs in the bator long enough to hatch, might as well just put them under your wings, ha. My way of callling you an angel.

Got another one zipped and almost out. I have one more pip that I can see fairly well. I'm gonna take the lid off the hatcher real quick and check the other eggs.

OH MY GOSH LOOK WHAT I JUST FOUND!!!

Could the egg on the left be a pullet egg laid by one of my Orps!!!???

It's a bit bigger that any pullet egg I have ever found. BUT where it was laid, in the middle of the run and the darker brown color leads me to believe it may be from one of my Orp girls. All of my other brown egg layers, Delawares specifically, lay a peachy beige light brown egg. This one is definitely different and it is definitely going on the incubator right now!

It could be, Jeremy! My Orps lay ALL shades of tan, from light to dark! GOOD LUCK ! ! !

I bet it is.....it's certainly shaped like most of mine are. Mine are like Kathy's several different shades.
