The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

RedReiner, what kind of cars do you show? My DH has a muscle car he mostly takes to cruises around here, but he has shown it and done well locally. When a long time friend passed away we ended up with his classic car. Not a muscle car but due to the way it was optioned, it's a rare, rare animal.

On another note, I have 6 fat little English Orplets from down around southside VA . Three splashes (one's leaning strongly toward cockerel - and I've been wanting a splash roo

) and 3 blues. I'll get some photos in a bit with a little luck.

When I got home I had a little blue Orp looking out at the big new world from the incubator. They're not due until tomorrow - I guess he got impatient unlike the human grandbaby.

oh you gotta share a pic!! We have somewhat of an off collection of cars, everything from little italian Lancias to American Muscle to a GT40 and a Pantera, the pantera just came out of paint today and will be home for its resurrection tonight. I will take some pics. I think there are 26 or so cars in our shop...I stopped counting. Dh has his passion I Have mine. to keep this chicken related I will tell you how it works. He gets another car, I get a new critter

so he got a dodge challenger to restore...I got Orpington chickens to play with

pretty fair trade dont you think?? oh yeah I love my critter math.
I have shown the GT40 and a 70 Mercury Cyclone. both have placed at the car shows. The Pantera will be shown when it is done. One of my favorites that we have is a 1971 Plymouth Sport Fury GT. it is one of about 18 left in the world. when its restored I will show it also.
love to see some pics of your orps! I was wanting a nice blue roo and Julie was kind enough to send me one of hers, Hoss, He is the sweetest Rooster I have ever been around. he treats his girls like royalty and when I come outside he calls them all up to come and see me. He knows I usually have treats for them and he walks right up to me and gives me the eye waiting to see what I pull out of my pocket. Could not ask for a nicer boy to be in charge

Wow, a Pantera? I remember those (I'm showing mah age, here). They are very rare, very cool cars. We have a '68 Plymouth GTX. The car we got from the friend's estate is a 1974 Plymouth Duster, but it's a small V8 with a 3 speed transmission on the floor, with the Space Duster package (the back seat folds down almost like a wagon). It's got a sunroof and air conditioning. Weird, weird options. It draws Duster enthusiasts like flies. We rescued it - some guy wanted it to make a drag car out of it. He would have ripped the engine and transmission out of it, tubbed the body and altogether destroyed a unique little vehicle.

I've got a Bama rooster, Raven. He's such a marshmallow. He's just a nice guy like your Hoss. And, he's a very handsome Orpington.

the Pantera was bought in North Carolina about 15 years ago, it was partially in boxes lol. I cant wait till its on the road! I love the older cars, GTX are awesome!! a friend has a ragtop and its immaculate. hey I had a dodge demon, it was possessed...
Julie seems to have nailed the temperament with her birds! the whole package going on. Julie you can be proud that not only do we all love their look and type but the temperament that goes along with them is pretty awesome. I cant wait to get some babies from Hoss

hope they are like him!

Thanks!! It was what I was most excited about when it first started developing. It's not the best, but a whole lot better than almost anything else around here. There's nothing prettier than some good blue lacing!!

I'd love a '77 corvette. Always wanted one. I say I won't ever get one until I'm too old to be cute in it anymore!!

Several have won Champion English recently. You just have to take them and show them and see what happens.

Here is a picture of Chesters broad backside
