The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

I will put up a picture of all the babies later, once it warms up. Joy, this is my favorite chick. I'm calling her Bonnie, in hopes that she stays feminine.

All I'm going to say about the situation is that old saying: You lay down with dogs, you get up with fleas.

I have never done business with them...I just "save" all sites I see with English Orpingtons to look into. This morning I'm actually skipping church to make a dish to pass for the church potluck and was checking various sites to see who...if any , sold English Orpington (100%) eggs. So I clicked on that "site" and there was a big announcement.
It appears that to get 100% English you need to buy chicks or pairs..which would be fine but I just invested in a Brinsea Advance Ex and two new coops to add to my old one, and eggs from Wynette, Maria Hall and Renie Peeps AND fencing to add more runs and the topper was a 16 ft. travel trailer to convert into a mobile coop. SO....English chicks will have to be NEXT spring. (I can hear DH asking...why are you ordering chicks when you have a new incubator??)

I just emailed you the web site.

I think that if everyone wants to discuss the above subject they should start a thread on it so we don't end up getting this one closed down. Lets talk about the English Orps we have here.

Beth that is a mighty cute splash baby. It is so amazing at how fast they grow.

Joy it must have been a hungry bunch cause I had clean bowl and crockpot. My DH didn't even get a bite of the puddin.

I have about 5 chicks hatched since I was gone.
