I just got home, there are another 2 beautiful Blue babies wobbling around the incubator.

The fourth and last egg that is in with them hasn't pipped yet, I'll leave it in for another day or so and see if it hatches.

So, I now have 6 Blues and 3 Splash chicks! I thought with my roo being Splash my odds of more Splash chicks would have been higher, but I guess not.

Yup, that's correct. I don't have any mature Splash hens though, hopefully at least one of the three Splash chicks that hatched will be a pullet. Neville was penned with 5 Blue hens and 1 Black hen, so I expected some Blues but definitely more Splash. I'm happy either way.

The three youngest Blue chicks that hatched are much paler in down color than the others, my guess is these chicks came from my light girl Alice, or maybe even Elizabeth. They are my lightest colored hens with excellent dark lacing. Hopefully these chicks mature like their mothers, or lighter in color still.

How is importing coming along? Any new arrivals yet?
