The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Hi everyone. I've lost a little of my memory about the imported Orpingtons since I've taken a break from BYC. Will you all remind me what the goal of the Lav Orp project is? Isn't it to get them looking like the English type?

Thank you!

You might be better off to ask this question on the Lavender Orp project thread. I don't think many of us here are working on Lavenders.

I hope this is alright, I know their not English but I thought I would share with you Joy. This is our first set of farm born kids, she blessed us with FOUR yesterday!

Was not expecting that at all.
We had a long night and have some long days in front of us but so far all is well with everyone.

Oh Wow, baby goats are the cutest things in the world. Congratulations.

Hi Joy,

I have imported lavender hens and i will be crossing them this year with a black rooster coming from your bloodlines.
I hop to have better feathering this way. The lavender hens are from Priscilla Middleton and Chirpy Chicks in Great Brittain.

Congrats on the quads and they all look like mama. Is she a Nigerian? I have Nigerians and one had quads once. I let them all stay with her but I helped with lots of bottle feedings so that none got left out at feeding time. Gotta love little goat babies.

Beautiful babies HenThymes!!! I wish we had room for a few goats here in the city.

Here's one of my Blue girls, I swear these birds are even more beautiful after their first molt.

Marc, do you have any updated pictures of your birds? I would love to see how they have matured.
