The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

margitas, you said your incubators are inspected..is that for NPIP? plus your birds have been shown. which requires some paperwork and blood tests..NYS and i assume other states like ct. inspect your equipment..i had to present my incubators and hatching area for inspection..thats part of it.. im sure they would say something if paperwork and things were not correct..sorry you spent the money first time around and things didnt work out..

everybodys a little leary,, a while ago somone here had some nice birds sent to them it was an innocent so they thought transaction..sadly those birds were a carrier of some disease and state had them all destroyed..so its a little scarey for people..as long as you have all paperwork then shouldnt be a problem..people are just being cautious after an incident like that. if your open also having somone call and interview state also, then that would be good...

Good thing because im breeder i have to call the state the improt permit all the time, some people allready contact the state to check me where i get my LF choc i do everything legal , so i have all the inn and out sales records.
Simple if someone get in the us the some new breed what we don't have and you call the state for permit if it's not local you buy from here is legal , but if you just like to someone send to you eggs from UK or FR etc and you have no paper , is cant sell.
You don't want to see my papers least 50 of them, i have over 200 birds and is lot of paper work.
I spend least 6 hour /day with my birds , if im not telling nobody what i know how to import they have no luck, but what can i do i like to help.
When i first import and spend over $4500.00 for 8 dozen eggs only 6 fertile and non hatch i was sad but i won't give up.
And i help lot of people so don't do some mistake what i did.
Anyway what you buy here in usa and can proof is legal.

Yes ,is for NPIP , i know that disease problem state kill 117 birds with no question, and i understand , disease can spray very quick.
That why i ask seller all the time the vet papers npip form because i can't buy with out that, plus i put all the new birds in carantine for 30 days ,after the state take the blood test and everything is good i can add the breeding flock.
Is not eazy at all , special if you raise rare breeds.
Im not just breed , i also ad on the quality simple for one my buyer: Gorgeous Birds , Excellent Quaility !!!!! NOT CULLS like alot of other sellers!
They also my pets not just for money,i don't think you can find another person who spend more time they birds than i do.

My birds is very well know breeder line , so just forget that scratch word , they my pets

Just kidding with the 'Scratch' word, no disrespect intended.

I have 'scratch' projects going on all the time, that's how we get new colors

Sample , if somebody sell the birds here on BYC and you buy , you need the permit from the state from the seller info , so you buy legal .
sorry but this is not true if the bird was in the US without the right paperwork it is not legal just because you did not bring him in yourself dose not make everything OK

for example someone steels a car and then sells it to you dose that make it legal ?? no it dose not sorry if this is offence to any one but i think we need to MAKE SHURE WE IMPORT LEGALY because if we do not and birds get sick the USDA may stop alaweing imports and it would be a shame for this to happen because of carelessnes

just my opinyon

What i said is legal , even if you bring here legal and they can get sick this happen before.
I have to do everything legal ,state track even my hatching eggs.
Stolen car you can buy to but that other page.
if you sell bird for me and send the npip form so i buy legal.
All you birds need to have the breeding cod, when i registered my breeds they not even have cod for them, so they need to update in statewide.
I have to say thise import birds is fun and also lot of paper work.

Hello All, so sorry I not been around but with one thing and another I have been so tied up and back and fourth to the hospital that I have now been able to talk to you my friends from across the pond!!!

So glad to hear of the fertility of your eggs Nellie, in fact news got through to me from another source as well as yours. I had a phone call from our David Pownall, the top breeder over here, asking me how I managed to send so many fertile eggs over to you as he heard of your sucess from a dear friend of his. I naturally explained all the ins and outs and he is amazed of how hair raising and stressful it is. He has had eggs sent to him and he has sent eggs out but of course because his are sent without the paperwork, tests etc, for example, the normal post, they will be in the wrong compartment of a plane. As you yourself know, mine are sent over in cargo with live animals so they will not freeze whilst on the plane, plus they arrive after a 9 hour flight!!!

looking through this forum - i see the words come up of star gazing on young chicks, this is a lack of a certain vitamin contained in marmite! put a small drop into a small portion of water and give to the chicks orally and hey presto, all is well again. I also insist in feeding my chicks with medicated chick crumb to give them a good start in life.

I have tried to email you a few times Nellie to see how all was going with the terrible weather over there but as yet, not head from you. I hope all is well with your family and friends over there across the pond.

Love and best wishes, Sandy xxxxx
