The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Quote: I don't know- they just stopped posting updates. I had been watching their progress for so long, and then when the news about the imports came out....I was really sad for them. Maybe they are still doing it. Would be nice to have them in American type as well.
It didn't seem like they were in it for the money either- they really had a ton of work into them.
Will see if I can find a fresh thread later, but we have people coming for geese in a few....

Their website at http://www.hinkjcpoultry.com/whiteorpington.htm no longer lists anything about their Jubilee project.

Their Jubilee Project is listed at the BYC thread https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/230755/f2s-on-jubilee-orpington-project-progress-pics-on-pg-1-2 The last post was in 8/2009.

I spoke with Jody not to long ago, my information about the projects comes directly from her. She told me they gave their projects up to focus and continue working on their established colors.

It would have been nice to have an American line to outcross to, if necessary.

ETA: She did mention that their project birds went to someone else, I didn't ever get their contact info though...

i was suprised that jody had a jubilee project at one time..it looked like they had some pretty nice birds coming along with a little more american look..too bad you couldnt find out where they went..

A customer asked if there were anyone with 100% English Orp eggs I can incubate for him. Our flock is too young to lay. He prefers blue.
Well Jeremy has 100% Imported English BLues if you want Imports and he has something for sale. Otherwise they are all 100% English Orps even the hatchery type are also.

Mr. Shaffer, thank you for the mention.

I actually do not have anything (hatching eggs, chicks, juvies) available right now. My girls are either brooding or beginning their molts. My rooster isn't even in my BBS pen, he's with my Partridge hen in hopes of making some more Partridge colored babies.

I didn't get to hatch nearly anything this year. I let some broodies raise a few clutches earlier in the spring but they either all turned out to be cockerels or were Splash pullets that I rehomed as soon as I knew their gender. Life has been hectic and this hasn't been a very successful hatching year for me. I hope to maybe hatch again in the fall if the girls want to cooperate.

Jeremy,
No problem. I thought the person Judges4 was after imports but there are so many people scamming out there by using the phrase "100% English Orps" implying they are imports but really just domestic fowl. I knew you had the real thing (Imported 100% English from UK England) and could possibly help a beginner.
