I knew those guys would know more about it..I think stress bars are maybe a slight illness or malabsorbtion during that part of feather development..but again..they will let you know..that did kind of look mottled to me, but the legs were throwing me, so couldn't tell .

You hit it Lynnie ! Any drastic change in diet, or illness can cause it. Washing and using heat to dry a bird with many pin feathers can end in disaster too, if you burn those pins, they'll either break, or bar.

I was really happy that the price of wheat seed went back down. It went from $15 to $18 then back to $15 for 50 pounds.
Gotta have that pasture, and it comes in really handy when I just can't get to the co-op til after I let everybody out for the day.
