The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

You could stuff 12 pillows with the feathers from your gang !! NO heat unless it goes below 20. Then just a 100 W. bulb will keep combs from freezing. The EBOs love this cooler weather. They're having a ball doing Mary Poppins numbers in the wind.

Thank you. Good to know. I doubt it will get below 20 here. Only occasionally does it get to freezing.

One of my girls has consistently flown to perch, at night, 7 feet high. I was under the impression these kids weren't too interested in flying? What's up with that? Not sure she wants to fly down in the morning. She waits for me to get her down. I have to do so from a chair. Tomorrow she'll just have to watch the girls eat without her. Maybe she'll get down on her own.

Breeding show dogs was much easier.

Good morning all!

I am really glad all are doing well considering! We took a walk shortly after dawn this morning and I took a few pictures. The first ones are of our pasture. It looks like we have a pond (or lake) there but we do not (well we didn't when I went to bed

) . The pics are a little blurry because I have a plastic bag on the camera as it is still raining

These pictures were taken from the road back towards our place

The picture below is from our driveway towards the pasture

If you double click on the next picture you can see it larger for comparison. I took some fall pictures
a week ago not knowing about this storm. It is amazing how the storm raised the water level of the pond!
It was down the lowest it had ever been due to the drought this summer.

These pictures I took from my doorway so no plastic bag on the camera

I did take a few pictures with my daughter's camera.... honestly I don't know how good the pics will be.... Have to wait till she has time to look them over to post one

Thank you for all the prayers for my family :)

So glad you are OK, you were right in the midst of it all. OMG, I am such a big baby when they give tornado warnings, I would have been a total panic if I had been your shoes (or flippers....
