Here are two of the cockerels. One is what the reddish gold ones look like and the other is what the blondish golds look like. All nine have scabs and bruises on their combs from the all too often rough play.

I followed Vickie's (thedragonlady's) feeding regimen precisely. You should see the shine and density of their feathers...all due to Vickie's advice. She's a genius that shares 50 years experience with anyone interested. Thank you Vickie!!:bow


Outstanding birds!!! I just love looking at them. I would like to know more about this feeding regimen. Did I miss it somewhere?
 
I'll let Vickie share her wisdom and correct me if I've left something out. Exercise, fresh water daily, quality feed, and Calf Manna. Too simple to be believable, but true.

I've added the fresh mealworms that I offer them once a week or so. But that is just so I see them acting silly over them.

BTW Gayle Ponitus just won Champion English with a Black pullet in Illinois this past weekend, She also won Reserve Champion LF with her. Go Gayle Go Black Orps. Exciting to see another color make a comeback here.
