The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Glad y'all are alright Nellie,
I got a couple of pictures to share to day, This is the boy I have decided to keep this year out of my older roo. & one of my hens he is about 8 months here. One of my older black hens, she is finely putting back on good feathers.
Roger that boy has some great color. I am hoping for one just like that from you. Great looking type too. Very nice round chest. Wish you lived closer so I could borrow him to put on my Splash Biggie and a Blue Biggie I have.
Hurry up and move back to Alabama before I get to old take care of my chickens.
Love the Black hen too. Good looking girl

In every picture I've seen of orps in England, they're happily grazing in nice manicured pastures. MY orpingtons, however, head straight for the thickest, most overgrown part of the woods to hang out. Maybe I don't have English orps and have East Tennessee Jungle Orps, instead.

This is Claire, a pullet from this spring. She's thinking, "I WOULD be in the woods... but the food's in HERE."

Thought I would post a couple pics of our Crele import and our Crele project.

Close, huh?

Great job. I would think that since you created them yourself they would be extra special to you? Very nice accomplishment.
