Well.. as you guys know.. the molt is on.. I have one black hen that hatched in 2012 coming back from her molt that is.. get this... Mottled!!! I don't know why.. but she has white speckles on her head, in her tail feathers...and I think there is some on her body... I was in shock when I saw it... soo have to go back and check her out again.

The molt is on indeed! One of my half English girls had feathers yesterday... and today they're gone! She looks like she sneezed and they all fell off at once. Poor thing looks like that cartoon looking picture of the rooster with no feathers anywhere but the head

Oh that poor thang.. hahaha had few here that looked ready for the oven yikes.. too cold here for that... Feathers are coming in nicely now.

Lord...He looks just like Elvis doesnt he..Boy thats one beautiful rooster Roger..when you look up orpington in the dictionary..there he is, big round beautiful birdy..
