Since @Farmgal101 and @TheGreatPapyrus are already here, I would like to invite, @The Angry Hen, @Hybridchucks, @RiverStorm, @PeepersMama, @Flufferes, @TheTwoRoos, @CP Chicken, @Leah567, @summerb123, @RoostersAreAwesome, @sassysarah123, @Jetblack2004 and @ChickenCowboy02. I am probably missing other people. Whoever wants to add anyone then you can do it. I am sure I am forgetting people.

For some reason I didn't get alerted for this. :hmm

I don't have any indoor chickens, but I have 16 outdoor chickens (15 bantams, 1 standard).

Chiming in... I've got some partially indoor hens! My daughter loves them and loves to share them with her little sister (who tries to share her lunch with them:lol:) the barred rock is her "special hen" she calls her.. and the blonde EE was attacked by a dog a month ago and we're very attached after healing her. She's wandered in before when we left the front door open. I may have been caught singing to her...
what I mean to say is I am a crazy chicken lady and hens in the house is alright by me

I have a 12 wk old EE that has only one leg, I am making her a house chicken but I need help with ideas for an indoor enclosure/coop! Please help! Right now I have a 4x2 cage, elevated, solid bottom, using wood shavings for substrate (so messy!!). Any pictures/ suggestions would be great. Thanks !

We have a bantam in a Trixie Pet Products medium outdoor run worth mesh cover from Amazon. It's just shy of 16 sq ft (46 x 43 x 19 inches) and works very well. We have a half sheet of plywood with adhesive - backed tile on it, so it's easy to clean. There is plenty of room for a nest box, and access from top and side. I'll try to remember to pay a pic for you. Food is in a corner feeder and we made a water container for her. An old broom stick works for a perch. She's happy with it.
Amazon also has a large available that is 69 x 43 x 19 inches, so should still fit nicely in a sheet of plywood. If you need to add height, that can be done by building a frame that is the same dimensions to set it on, 2x4's or 4x4's should work, then place the run on top and anchor it to the frame so it doesn't fall off. The main thing is height for your chicken, because with a diaper she can have plenty of time out of the run while you're home. The run is for her safety while you aren't able to watch her, and so she knows where her food, water and nest box are, and ideally she will be allowed to have plenty of roaming time.
