The Indoor Chicken Thread!!!!!

My chickens live outdoors but I keep them indoors when they are 0-8 weeks. Sometimes I will take the chickens in the house though.

I think thats fine they get to explore different areas

I don`t have indoor chickens but I have 17 outdoor . I do keep them indoors when they are chicks.

Yes, they were so excited when I took them outside for the first time at 4 weeks!

I might keep a cockerel inside with me so he doesn't bully my 3 Hens. In the future, not having chickens just yet.

I hatched a hen in my room, she is the sweetest thing! She follows me around everywhere I go!

She runs to greet me, she got too big so she lives with my guinea hen now!

They were in the house when they were in the brooder because our garage gets too hot (yes, too hot!) I wish I could let them in to hang out but there is just too much carpet for them to destroy. We got a diaper that we want to try out on them but we keep... well... chickening out.

I have a 12 wk old EE that has only one leg, I am making her a house chicken but I need help with ideas for an indoor enclosure/coop! Please help! Right now I have a 4x2 cage, elevated, solid bottom, using wood shavings for substrate (so messy!!). Any pictures/ suggestions would be great. Thanks !
