Pics on a scale only way to prove that, or side by side......and were birds same age?

Nah, hers are older hens. I know pullet eggs are smaller, and they’ve already gotten bigger. I just didn’t think they would increase all that much more. We’ll see I guess. She said if I sell any, that I should list them as bantams. I do not think mine are bantams. (Heck, I didn’t even know they came in bantam size)

Edit- maybe sizes vary with different regions of the country?

That's a long way to ship pullets eggs for hatching!

My CCL eggs are always slightly smaller than my other eggs. Mine are weighing in at about the same as @aart . The hatching eggs that I received last time were on the small side also but I think this is just par for the breed. I don't think these come in bantam size, but I may be wrong!

Ya know @oregonkat come to think of it, the eggs I received to hatch were no bigger than the ones I'm getting, so I'm not sure what was up with that gal.

So... I made a tough decision. I'm selling my BCM flock. The cockerel charged me again, without provocation, no reasoning behind his outbursts. 99% of the time, he's a perfect gentleman. Will eat scratch from my hand and even be careful about it. But for whatever reason, I'm not putting up with him. He is also very loud, and although my neighbor doesn't complain per se, she did mention their crowing to me.

Found a very nice older gentleman who wants them all, and I was going to sell the whole flock, but I think I'm going to try moving 2 girls over in with the CLs, so I can get some cool olive eggs, eventually. The man is happy with 6 pullets, and he agreed to give me eggs free, if I ever decide I want to hatch more.

UGH, I am so sad to read this! My roos have always been so awesome! I dont know, maybe the fact that mine have always been the 'only guy in town' have made them just the best roosters. I wish I was closer I'd buy your flock!

Hasn’t happened again since that day, and I haven’t heard back from the buyer, so we’ll see.

How are egg productions going for you now?
