The inevitable humidity question, day before lockdown, help please!

Geez! That would be rather scary...bad enough with a chicken.
Did you check with those folks you thought it might belong too?

Was kinda waiting for the BC to lay, went into check and the molting CCL hen was evicting her from the nest...biotch!!

IKR!! My husband encountered the beast when he came home yesterday afternoon. He got out of his truck and went around to the passenger side and opened the door. He said "I was getting stuff off the passenger seat and I looked and saw the turkey through the window walking towards me. Then I heard this hissing sound, kind of like the sound of the dinosaur with the spitting thing in Jurassic Park. :gig I looked around the door and saw this thing wings up, neck puffed up and back like he was going to strike at me, which he then did!" The hubster then leaps backwards slams the door and manages to give this turkey a smart kick in the chest shouting "Oh, Oh you wanna piece of this do ya, huh, huh?" and apparently the turkey did because he just kept coming at him so hubby really booted him and he finally backed off.

Haven't seen him this morning!:)

:lau the Jurassic Park reference is stellar! :lau

Sounds like somebody is gonna get an early Thanksgiving dinner. :gig

Ugh!
I thought all my hens were done with their silly bloodiness, but nooooo, one of my frizzle bantam cochins decides she wants to be a November mom.
I guess I’m going to give her a few eggs for the Halloween HAL.
But I’m also going to have to move her. They must have gotten into a tussle yesterday and broke a newly laid egg. It was eaten. :(

(By the way, no more eaten eggs in the CL pen since that one. Yeah!)

@oregonkat have the roving attack turkeys left?

So I think another BCMxCCL is laying now...but it could be a BC<shrugs>.
Also shown is the 'spray booth anomalies' I was talking about earlier.
Oh, and, the thin shell found on board at lock up, better than cleaning the remnants off in the morning..wish she'd just quit and molt!

After my husband booted 'her' she left and went home. I saw my neighbor day before yesterday and she was right there with him perfectly fine (I did not get out of my car). She has never attacked him which is understandable seeing as how he raised her so I think she just got confused about where she was and which human was which. Her name is 'Pickles' btw. :p

More spray booth anomalies:
From the younger pullets, that dark brown coating comes with it's detriments,
unevenly applied and easily marred.
Got 7 pullet eggs the other day...3 more to go.

It’s apparently a hard color to mix properly. :D
