I was told that you shouldn't give them unlimited access to water for the first hour since they will be really thirsty and will get bloated. Is this true? They seem to chug their water lol
As much as I would like to have a drake to breed, I've been told they can be rough with the females

I gave mine unrestricted water immediatly with no problems:)

Mine tend to sit almost in the water...? Is that ok? The just take naps with like half of their bodies in the water. They are getting wet, should I leave it or do something?

I wouldnt let them do that. Is it their drinking water they are in? If it is, then I would replace it with a smaller bowl. If its swimming water you gave them, just take em out and let them dry themselves. You just dont want them to be always wet and perhaps catch cold.

It's there drinking water, I'll see if I can find a small bowl.

We got our ducks! We got 4 KC females (supposed to be females) I just learned that our feed store gets their chicks and ducklings from metzer farms! We also picked up some Cinnamon Queens, welsummers and my first EEs!

what should I do???
#1. Take deep breaths.
Are the legs spraddled (like they are doing splits)?
Are you feeding them normal chick food, without adding brewers yeast or some other source of niacin? Is she sitting there quietly not moving or is she still kinda active?
