My 8 week and 6 week old Khakis won't swim. We put them in their outdoor pen for the first time this week. Currently they have a small kiddie pool. We weren't able to put them in water in the house, so a pool is quite new. They all managed to get in the water the first night, but now they just drink out of it. Will they eventually take to water? We plan on putting in a bigger water area after spring break.

They should learn to love it. You can encourage them to get in by adding lettuce, green peas or their favorite treat. My ducks enjoy dining while they swim.

Thanks! We werent going to keep a drake... but we are considering it now if he stays this sweet we may have a hard time getting rid of him!
