My Khakis and chickens all free range together with no problems. Yes, the drake will occasionally go after a chicken but it is usually when it's feeding time and the chickens try eating out of the duck bowl. I am sure there are situations when you will get a nasty drake just like you will get an occasional nasty rooster.

I have two sets of three ducklings that are about three weeks apart in age. The older batch has a Bali named Ducky, a Jumbo Pekin named Daisy, and a White Crested named Nemo. The younger group are my KCs having two drakes and a hen. I try to let them integrate to get used to one another, but Ducky is having none of it and attacks them. She chases them and grabs them by the neck and shakes. Are there any suggestions to help integrate them together when they are all old enough to be in the same pen?

Another question I have is: Considering I have two drakes and a hen KC, I plan on selling one of the drakes and getting another hen, but would the group become very stressed when separating? Should I just buy more hens elsewhere and keep the drake?

Thanks for any help.

how much do khaki Campbell ducks like water? I have a decent size pond and am woundering if they will like it nd eat my fish?
