Oh my, I am behind on answering the notes. I'm on dial-up and that is very slow. I am getting ready for work right now, so I am not going to play catch up right now either.

Just popping in to say "HI" though!
Thanks for the coffee.

Wear green today!

stop back later, Boo. We're always here.

Opa, that game scared me. I was so shy.

EC, hopscotch!! Yes, it was my favorite playground game. I was either tossing stones and hopping, or jumping like a wild woman in double dutch jumprope! Anything to jump!

My kids love chess. I cannot beat them no matter how hard I try. So, I just watch them play each other. It's just as fun!

Games are so great. Thanks to everybody for stirring up such great family memories! I hope today's kids are getting that interaction, and learning to put down the video games. We still have family game night, and they're all grown!

Jena, Yay!

for the marans eggs. I get my new little fuzzy butts next month. Time to build that chicken tractor....

Yes, wear green today. My students would pinch me to death if I didn't.

Top of the morning to you all. Anyone have a bit of Irish in em?

I missed the last couple of questions. And I did want to add a little bit about my town. It was rated "safest place to live" a few times.
smile.png
We get a lot back with our taxes, so I feel good about that. Our town really started in 1850 and had lots of iron ore in the area hence, they built iron works. Right now there are over 75,000 people in this 33 square mile town. Lots of shopping centers (done real nice with landscaping and trees) scattered about. Fine restaurants and sections of "green" land that the town has been buying to preserve. My house happens to back up to a "green" strip of woods. We are close to shopping etc, but far enough away to not notice.

I like a mechanical pencil. My sister and I used to go into the woods behind my grandma's house and play all kinds of made up games and pretend. One of our favourites was pretending we were deer and running along all the old Indian trails and jumping over fallen trees. Building forts was another one. Stuff like that.

There! I'm caught up.

Yesterday was an odd day. I woke up with a start when one of my cats decided to spring into the air and land on my tummy! OUCH!! OK I'm awake now. ugh I was standing by the front window watching DH leave for work when I notice my car has a flat tire.

Oh well, can't do anything about that now. Then I was throwing a piece of stale banana bread out the back door and actually hit a squirrel!
lol.png
He gave me a look, then scrambled down the fence and took the bread. lol

Good morning, Luna! Nice to see you! Yes, I'm Irish and Welsh.
smile.png
It also happens to be my birthday.

Sounds like you had a mixed day yesterday. Ooh, I'd like to be able to hit a squirrel with just about anything! They steal all my fruit.

Are you feeling better? Sounds like you are still a bit tender. Glad to hear you just left that tire alone.

I like to run in the woods, too. I just happen to do it as an adult.

If I was a kid, I would pretend to be a deer.

Cool!
