Luka didn't want to be cold forever more. He wanted to feel affection, maybe even love, for just one person. He wanted someone he could talk to, laugh with, smile at. Everyone else didn't matter, they were still objects he was made to destroy. But he couldn't destroy Jade. She was too quiet, serene, humble, caring, patient...perfectly beautiful both inside and out. He wanted her to feel likewise to him, that she could trust in him that he would teach and protect, and that they would form a bond of friendship and love. Luka wanted all this so dearly, but he could not bring himself to "make a move". Kissing her hands was something, but an actual kiss was something way out of his comfort zone, and he didn't know if she wanted him as he wanted her. And if she didn't, he would respect that, cherish them together as friends. He sighed. Minutes had passed, and his heart was beating harder than ever. He asked softly, softly touching her chin up so that he could look into her eyes, "I've never met someone like you. You're so perfect, both on the inside and out. You're beautiful, peaceful, patient, and loving. You're the only person I've ever cared about. I can't stand others, my family, the people here, everyone else." He stopped, before continuing "I just want you to know that." He was too afraid to continue further than that, too ask for his real intentions, so he just held her gaze, waiting for a reaction even though he had already seen some during his talking with her.
