Ara frowned and looked to Luka again "No. Who are you? Jade is my friend, I won't just leave her." She stated defiantly.

Luka muttered quietly with scorn still in his voice “Friends don’t lie. Last time I checked. And who cares who I am.” He turned to Jade and looked down into her eyes, silently asking if she wanted to leave. His eyes shown with a sense of protection-if Jade wanted him to get rid of Ara, he would do that with no questions asked.

"I care who you are because you are holding my friend. And I didn't lie." Ara said with a frown before she looked down. "I didn't tell her the whole horrible truth about the war, but I didn't lie."

Jade didn't know what to do or say. She closed her eyes then looked to Luka then to Ara "His name is Luka. He helped me escape and kept me safe."

Maximilian quickly understood what was happening, and that there would probably be a lot of emotions to deal with. He groaned inwardly, helping Ari was one thing but for others it was a bit harder for him. He tapped Maddox on the shoulder so he could tell him something in private outside.

Maddox didn't like the look of this Luka and was hesitant to leave Ara by herself in the house. But if Max needed to tell him something privately he supposed there was little he could do. He nodded and stepped just outside the door but kept an eye on Ara just inside the cabin. "Whats up?" He asked Max.

And while there's three of us, and that's two more than them...never was good at math, that could still end up with serious wounds or death. They are powerful. I feel it. Just be careful, alright?"

Maddox nodded, "Got it." He said as he moved back into the house. When he saw that the girls were talking somewhat alone he left them to it and moved to sit down in the chair opposite Luka. He felt better being able to watch him closer, he gave Luka a disarming smile. He wanted Luka to believe he was nothing more then a good minded idiot, it would mean he would overlook him in a fight and that was good for him. He would never see him coming. "Hey how are ya?" He asked him as he gave him a wave.
