He wrinkled his nose as she spoke to him with pure anger. "You all don't know my past." He snapped. He stood and walked upstairs to his room, not saying another word.

Lilith added back with anger "And you don't know his or mine so you can leave." She sat next to him, softly stroking his hair, whispering "It's ok Maddox. I'm here. It'll all be fine."

Lilith walked downstairs to get a glass of water when she noticed Maddox. She eyed Nico a bit nervously, then came over to Maddox and said "Calm down. It's fine." even though she had no idea what it was about. "You can kiss me again if you like." she offered to calm him down, not caring what Nico thought.

Nico panicked more, unsure what to do and it was no help that he never had experience calming a person,and a fire mage was 10 times worse. Rather than calming him, Nico placed his hand on Maddox's shoulder, using his powers to inflict pain on Maddox as an attempt to snap him out of his grief, though it didn't last long until his hands began to burn. He quickly pulled his hand away after a few seconds and saw it didn't help whatsoever. "Lilith! Your water!" He yelled.

(Oh goodness, I'm not sure how Nico will feel. He's uncomfortable speaking to other human beings as it is so I think you can imagine how stressed out he is right now in this situation. This is the most panic he has ever shown. Also, notice how terrible he is at calming people?? Lol)

Lilith hissed "Dont hurt him you idiot!" She pushed Nico out of the way, taking his place. She grabbed her water and slowly poured it over Maddox, regretting it as she did. The flames were doused quiet quickly. She asked quietly "Maddox are you there?"

"He'll be fine." He hissed back, but then felt bad after saying it. Lilith pushed he away and Nico sat down at the other end of the couch, flipping his hood over his head. Sitting in silence as a mixture of feelings -regret, discomfort, saddness for his newfound friend- passed over him.

Lilith' eyes filled with hatred. She grabbed his wrist, and hissed back "You don't underestimate people's pasts. Ever." Lilith teared up, wiping them away in anger, before soothing Maddox replying "It'll be ok. I'm here."

Maddox was snapped out of his grief by cold water dousing out the flames. As he came back to himself it was slow, at first he was aware by the smell of burning upholstery that he had caught the couch on fire, he was also aware that there was another person holding him, not Nico but a woman. By the time his vision cleared and he was fully aware of all that happened Nico was gone and he was pulled into the arms of the woman he had kissed on top of the head earlier, Lilith. He sat up a bit before looking at her. "Where is Nico? I didn't..I didn't hurt anyone did I?" He asked his voice unusually shaky.

She kept silent a bit before honestly stating "I'm sorry for putting water on you." She was not usually so emotional, but she sympathized with him. She could tell it was about his past.

Victoria nodded slightly as the water was lifted off of her, but Didnt answer anything.She tried dissipering, but the light was too strong, it had only made her fainter.

Simon replied "You can get more than one flavor if you want?" He got her a bowl, giving it to her with a nod. He could pay for her and him easily as he just lived on the streets.

Star takes the bowl "Thank you" she says as she moves to get her ice cream, it only took a few moments later until she had three scoops in her bowl and a spoon in her other hand, she turned her attention back to Simon as she took a bite of her ice cream and she gives him a thumbs up.

With a long sigh Nico fell into his bed. He hated it when he made mistakes, and this was a big one. It all just reminded him more why he shouldn't have people close to him, added to the list of many other reasons. As he sat in the silent room he again heard the whispers of spirits, but this one time they were angry with him, Nico recognized the voices from before and knew who they were now.

Arisala nodded at Victoria before following Eira into her room. She sat down next to her on the bed. "Its ok Eira, I know how difficult Victoria can be. We all make mistakes, its part of life. On a side note your control is getting very good, we should test your control later to see how much you have learned." She said with a smile and a pat to her hands.

Eira smiled, "I practice every night." she sighed, "I have trouble getting to sleep, though I don't know why."
