The Legbar Thread!

I have been hatching mine for the past few month and I'm still excited ever time.

That is awsome. How many do you have now Molly? Are you still doing Jaerhorns too?
 
After waiting since march when I hatched my shipped eggs.... today my very first cream legbar from my own hen hatched and it's a pullet! so far, so good. waiting on 5 more. :)
That's my goal too, to hatch from my own hens in the spring. I'm keeping cream legbar and a barred rock roo(s), and the legbar will serve double duty for an olive egger project (he volunteered). I have 33 CL eggs in the incubator currently from other sources. Just Struttin Farm batched in 8 or 9 each of Swedish Flower Hens and Basque with my Cream Legbars that I'm not sure what I'll do with yet. I don't have space for two more breeds but I couldn't just toss them. Funny how I always end up with too many chickens.
