That's my goal too, to hatch from my own hens in the spring. I'm keeping cream legbar and a barred rock roo(s), and the legbar will serve double duty for an olive egger project (he volunteered). I have 33 CL eggs in the incubator currently from other sources. Just Struttin Farm batched in 8 or 9 each of Swedish Flower Hens and Basque with my Cream Legbars that I'm not sure what I'll do with yet. I don't have space for two more breeds but I couldn't just toss them. Funny how I always end up with too many chickens.After waiting since march when I hatched my shipped eggs.... today my very first cream legbar from my own hen hatched and it's a pullet! so far, so good. waiting on 5 more.![]()
