She is probably waiting for spring! My Ameraucanas take a break through the winter even with lights while the other girls keep producing without fail.

Quick question: Greenfire will be shipping my chicks next week, and I opted to pay extra to have same day delivery via Delta Airlines. Have any of you done the same-day thing? How does that work? Do you pick them up at the regular Delta counter at the airport - or at the Delta Freight area?

I have received at Airports....... You would contact your local airport and ask where to receive the cargo.......make sure they keep them in a area not too cold and not too hot. They require special boxes that the birds ship in. That is a lot of expense to go from FL to TN..... I would ship them USPS express - I know you would not want dead chicks - but I think GF (like most reputable breeders) offer live guarantee - so your money is safe - but it is heartbreaking when chicks arrive dead....

I sit on pins and needles when I ship.... tracking .......tracking.........tracking....

I think she will start to lay soon. My hen looked close to that when she started laying.
