The Legbar Thread!

Ive had one out of 4 cream legbar rooster human aggressive. Hes one of my original two brothers. Both sons of the aggressive one are very mellow . The original two allowed a EE X GAME roo to join them. Ive tried to put my RIR roo in with them too but its instant fighting. They quickly get tired of fighting between the penswith other roos though.

I definitely think ameraucanas are more human and rooster aggressive than the cream Legbars are. 3 out of my 7 ameraucana roosters have shown human aggression. And all of them dont get tired of fighting between the pens

My one cream legbar rooster gives his brother a good kicking when he trys to get me. Even if i catch the mean one before he can ill toss him down and the nice one puts him in his place

I don't tolerate any birds that show aggression towards people but I will say that my original male was the best behaved. His sons are a little rowdy and rough with the hens, and when the 3 of them get lose in the main yard, they move as a pack

That, too, is something I noticed about cream legbar roosters. If there is another breed rooster trying to mount a hen, you see a typical response of the cream legbar rooster trying to knock the other rooster off the hen. If it is a cream legbar rooster trying to mount a hen, the other cream legbar roosters join in to help hold the hen down while the mounting cream legbar breeds the hen.
