Awesome! If we both use different lines from the start we can have some nice unrelated bantams then...

Sending you a pm

I have 2 roos from different lines this one is 6 weeks old the other is 10 weeks old but they both have floppy or crooked looking combs will these straiten out or not? They were very strait and have 6 points from birth but the bigger they get the curvyer they get please opinions lol help
Wait and see. I've had babies with waves in their comb that straightened out as they grew into their comb.

Day 21 of my egg incubation! I moved eggs from my girls into my mini Eco and eggs from Rinda into my octagon 20 Eco. One of mine was pipping as I got ready for work.

It's probably better that I am not there to watch. Every time I get to hatch time, I think there is no way these eggs are going to turn into chicks! And they do. Amazing!

Let me know what you get!!!!

ahhh. i was like man im breeding the wrong chickens.
go back and read my response. I clearly said I could sex the Silkie x white Leghorn(hen) chicks before they hatch, but the secret is to do it on large white leghorn eggs, other eggs color or zise wont work

Sry i should have known you were not a diva when i didn't get reported. Sry to hear a diva got your educator tag pulled. But debates are often only used to put people down. Sooooo ya.
again, I am a man of Science, I dont report people for posting what they believe is correct, what I do is try to teach them the correct way thats why I get reported.

Lots of activity on this thread but only a couple of reviews for Cream Legbars. Would love to see people's thoughts on the breed in the review section! :)

We have some available in our area but I need more info on the breed. Specifically I was wondering how loud or chatty Cream Legbars are going about their business and whether it was a flighty breed or ok living in a run in a small mixed flock?

I have 2 4 week old cream legbars and they are noisier than my other chicks, and even though I handle them alot, yes they are quiet flighty, they are very inquisitive birds as well, they check out everything lolI love them I think they are fab

My CLBs are quite vocal first thing in the morning...well the boys are ;) but overall are quiet and laid back. When we're in with them though they do like to "talk" and "sing" to us, and follow us everywhere. Like many others, I've found that as babies they are quite flighty, but it seems to slow down when they reach 6months+. They can still fly, they just don't unless they have to.

I have 2 10-day-olds so I can't tell you on adults. When newly hatched I thought they were quieter than average.

We also handle very day and they are a little 'spazzy'. They will perch and hang out on your shoulder or lap but don't like being restrained or caught. The vocalization sometimes will be a contented trilling instead of a chirp.

Right now they are zooming around the brooder but not being overly-loud. so I would consider then a little more active than average, but quieter than average as chicks. They are also growing out their little wings faster than expected and flapping about.

Temperament-wise they are closest to my Salmon Favorolles and Welsummers as chicks.

Definitely give it some time.....I had a rooster with a crooked floppy -- crooked meaning it traversed the top of his head diagonally. The floppy was mostly cured as he matured...the crooked of course didn't.
