The Legbar Thread!

The latest one from last week, so much has changed in one week, I will get a new pic tomorrow

If it hatched from a blue legbar egg, and the daddy was not barred, then the chicks can be sexlinked (not autosexing but sexlinked), and the white dot on the head at day-old indicated male. The stance in this picture means male, too. I think this is a boy.

Okay...peeps are 6 days old. Put several of my CCLB under my broody Polish and have ended up with 4. Two have definite spots on heads---roos---one is the usualy chipmunck---pullet, but what the heck is THIS one?

AND while I'm wondering.....all four have different coloring. I find this interesting but a tad confusing. Is this normal?

Thanks!!

DARN IT!! I edited these and turned them right side up....sorry.

Hello,

If I may chime in, "The stance in this picture means male," and as I'm unfamiliar with this sexing method, are you indicating that the very upright and chest thrusting stance indicates a male chick, please? Lee
