Just a quick class question. If these were to make it into the standard, what class would they be in? I could see a few possibilities- English class since they were made in England, Mediteranian because they are more leghorn than anything, and also AOSB (all other standard breed) because they are a mix of Mediteranian, American, and South American breeds. Anyone have ideas on this?

I'm guessing AOSB, just because there are so many different breeds in their background.

But, because they were developed in the UK some might push for the English class.

Well they were supposed to be shipped on the 13th but still aren't here yet. I emailed them on Monday asking if they were shipped but got no response. I called the post office this morning and they said they didn't get them. I emailed them again this morning to see if they were even shipped and no response yet. Anyone else have this kind of experience? Do they normally provide a tracking number? I am just hoping that they got shipped and will be here tomorrow

I have an extra cream legbar cockerel if anyone is interested. I am going to list him on BYC. He's a pretty boy but I just need one so I am letting the younger one go.

We have a little too much bickering between the Isbar and Legbar yards so one roo on each side needs to go.

My legbar girls are looking really good too! Now if they would just start laying!

Hey Sheriff, they are lookin good. This cold weather hasn't been kind to my legbar roos unfortunately. That, combined with their low roof(didn't get new coop built before winter and their combs look a little compressed, they must put their head against the roof?), they don't lood as good as yours. I have one girl laying and not sure what the other is holding off on. I am buying a new shed this weekend, pre-built wood, so I can get the housing issue addressed. By then the other one hopefully will be laying and I can hatch some

. I appreciate you checking in on me and sorry I didn't get back, I keep meaning to but with dh and I being full time students with alternating schedules and then the 7 kids.....it's crazy. My isbars aren't laying yet and they have fared better than the legbars(in appearance). My breda fowl are laying and I will be hatching some from them when I do the legbars. Let me know if you want to be a test hatcher, dh thinks I'm crazy for sending out "free" eggs, it will definitely be to specific people only. I need to ask though, is it you that dips their eggs in diluted oxine(?) before incubating? I am thinking of doing it but would love to figure out who told me they do it.

Hi Krista! I was so glad to see you post. I have thought about you a lot and wondered how things were going. It sounds like you have a very busy life! Interesting that you mentioned the thing about the combs. I shipped an Isbar pair this week and the boy's comb was perfect when he left but folded over now. He must have stood all the way to Georgia with his heading smashed against the top of the box. He seems to be able to stand up fine though. Maybe the box tipped to the side or something. Hopefully it will correct itself.

My extra cockerel is being picked up today by a man driving nearly six hours to get here. He is also getting twelve Icelandic chicks.

Both my Cream Legbars and Isbars are stunning. I have two Isbars laying and another seven due to start soon. The Legbars look ready but apparently they are in no big hurry, or so I read on this thread. I have 13 legbar eggs in the incubator. four out of seven from the first batch are developing and I just set the second batch yesterday.

If they aren't going to lay eggs the least they could do is get in there and re-paint the inside of the coop! I am sure these two would be willing to help!

I think Melow has been looking in the nest box today because when i went to collect the hens eggs her feather was there
