Sorry if this has already been asked but does anyone have info on the white cream legbars? The breeder I got my eggs from said she had heard that occasionally a white will hatch and of course one of mine is white. I'm still waiting to hear from her but would like to know if they can be bred and if they will produce auto sexing offspring if bred back to a regular legbar, if you breed two whites will you get all white and ANY other info on them. Thanks!

If you read back through these postings you will be able to find out as much as I know about them. From the pictures it looks like they can be auto sexing although the markings are faint. It is a hereditary trait. So if you breed yours out to standard legbars and then breed the off spring back to each other then you should get more of them. Have fun!

Mostly roosters seem to be popping out of the incubator.

First hatch 2 of 4 hatched - both roos but also mixed. 4 of 4 on second batch with 1 pullet but not sure they are pure so I will probably grow out the female for my laying flock or to make EE's. This hatch I think also 3 to 1 pullet but they are definitely pure. We'll see what happens next week. But it seems my whole flock is on strike and 2 just went boody - 9 hens and only 3 eggs today and not anything I would stick in the bator

No white chicks thus far but feeling as icky as the weather outside...my second Genesis came today and I would have had nothing to put in if I had not bought these gorgeous Marans eggs off of ebay.
Only good news is got NPIP tested today so should be good to go by next week...Oh Well.

Does anyone have pics of white chicks? Mine has a little brown and I'm not sure if it's a male or female. It's looks like it could either be the outline of the brown stripe on a female or outline of the spot on the male and the line down his back. I would be interested to know if anyone has had luck sexing these chicks and what to look for. I will try to post a pic later.

My little Cream Legbar was born with a lump on his head... It looks like a blister. He is a few week old. Seems to be getting around fine.
Any suggestions? Does anyone know what it is or caused from?
