You could try the fancy chick. www.thefancychick.com Just found them on the internet search. I can't vouch for them personally.I got to have some, where do you even find them? In Ohio?![]()
Nobody here will be bored with Legbar information.....that's why we hang out in this thread. ;O) Your rooster sounds like he is getting pretty...there is something at just about the age yours is too that it is like a switch is flipped, and they suddenly get spectacular in just a short time.....Ok ... not to bore anyone, but I noticed today that my legbar rooster's pretty saddle feathers are coming in. (is that what they're called?) I don't know chicken terminology as well as I should.
His comb is also getting more red. He's purty.
Also.. what age should I start looking for eggs? They are at about 17 weeks right now.
Sure! Versailles, Lake of the Ozarks. They have this swap 3 times a year. I went to the Spring one and it was amazing. Everything from birds, pups, plants, antiques, crap.. you name it, it was there. The next one is the first weekend in June. Only $5 a car to get in.Can you tell me where Jacob's Cave is, or what the nearest city is? Thanks!

I have heard someone say 22 weeks for eggs...and my little pullet has made a couple of trips to the nesting box to see if she likes the accomodations...on Monday she will be 19 weeks--so I am hoping within the next 3-weeks or so she will produce her first egg. Put up pictures of your roo--- nope, not boring at all IMO.
Hey thanks, not too far. Sounds like my kind of place to be, I could get into some serious trouble there!!Sure! Versailles, Lake of the Ozarks. They have this swap 3 times a year. You got that right. Take a cage if you want to maybe buy a bird or five. And wear tennis shoes NOT flip flops. (personal experience.) lol. LOTS of walking. some people had 4 wheelers they took to ride around. Pure Genius if you ask me.Hey thanks, not too far.
