I have hatch LOTS of Cream Legbars ....this is the first time they have been so light.
I have nine hens in the breeding coop. Not sure if I have a new layer or time of the year....
WOW, look at all those boys :/

Wow, can't believe how light they are...but they are beautiful!

Nice color comparison! Punnett did a whole study on the light and dark down color in the Legbars. He said that Legbar lines got the dark down color from Dutch brown Leghorns that he imported and that light down color for the English Brown Leghorns. He prooved the light down color to be ressesive which I am sure is why we have beeing so much more of the dark down color in the USA.

P.S. My lightest one from GFF is on the right of the photo below, and yes I photo documented how they fethered out.

Quote: honestly those light brown ones look a lot like rhodebar cockerels. I know molly you dont' have any but never seen them that light. Keep track of them for us. I had a CL roo in with my BLRW flock for a while and started hatching eggs before the 2 week wait. Well I have hatched some very interesting chicks that have pretty intense blue undertones and a crest. I'll try to take pics of them tomorrow. I think I have said that on about 4 different forums now so I am in for it!
