The Life of being Little... my Seramas from eggs and beyond

Hello all!

In a few hours, I am getting some Serama hatching eggs and going to document each step of the way. From incubating, to hatching, and growing up little! I love these tiny birds. They are full of character and generally are very sweet. Hoping you join this journey with me!

Here we are! Day one for the Serama eggs. Usually these eggs hatch in 19 days.. which put attentively June 11. Which so happens to be my friends wedding, so a hen will be named after her.

Little miss Jordyn's eggs are going to be hatching any day now. None of the eggs are actually hers, mixes from some of the other girls. Would LOVE to get another Serama rooster to breed again though.

Day 4 and great news! All 4 eggs are developing!

Alrighty... day 7! These guys are swimming around like crazy! Perfect 99.9F and 50% humidity.

Alrighty, so my seramas official names are Pebbles, Rupert and Patrick. Perhaps in the future I'll be selling Patrick.. I do not need that many serama roosters.

Anyways, this past week they have been out in the adult coop. They are doing quite well, despite them spending most of their time inside. For some reason they rather not adventure outside. None of the chickens are picking on them and everyone is getting along fine.

Though either on Sunday or the following day, they will be moved to the bigger coop selling with the other seramas.

Now don't candle again for a week. They are doing well. Just let them be for a bit..I used to hatch them. Here's a photo of a couple.

Happy 1st week Birthday to the chicks! Wing development is very predominant and one might be already showing signs of a comb. I placed a towel in there for them to snuggle in. They are also switched to dry feed which they love to scratch in.The brooder light is red so I'm uploading a grayscale pic.
