"Her due date is today, but you never know... I just hope we get something. She's on 5 eggs, so I'm hoping for at least three chicks!" Onyx clucked excitedly.

Cloudy's eggs hatched yesterday! All of them, but one had hatched, and Cloudy was still choosing names for them. One was a strange mis of purple and gold and was smaller than the rest. She decides to call that one Sunstar. (Yep, I'm reviving SunChick from Featherclan
I had plans for him...)

You are a chicken who was brought here by fate. You did not come here on purpose, you were either left here or are a refugee from the mainland. You could’ve been packed up into a box and dumped here, or left here on vacation. You aren’t just any chicken. You are part of The Lost Flock.

One day, a few chickens were loaded onto a ship and were set to sail on a delivery halfway around the world, when a violent storm hit and caused the ship to wreck. The chickens waited out the storm and investigated. The Smooth Skins were nowhere to be found, dead probably. They had no other choice but to try to survive.
They founded a clan, a sanctuary for lost, dumped, forgotten or abandoned chickens.

You are greeted by a handsome, tall, jet black rooster, and his mate, a blue frizzled hen. He welcomes you to Green Island and leads you into camp. You see a dozen or so makeshift huts, crafted from straw, twigs, rocks and mud. There is a clearing in the middle and you are surrounded by forest.
The rooster asks you some questions needed to join the flock. You must choose a rank before beginning.

There is only one Leader and his mate, who automatically becomes Co-Leader. You must respect them, listen to them and follow their rules.
There is one deputy, who will take charge if the Leader appoints him/her to.
There is one Healer, who helps sick or injured chickens.
There can be unlimited villagers. These are just regular ranking chickens who do tasks such as gather for food, have chicks and guard the island from outsiders and predators.
Chicks are any chicken that was just hatched. When registering a chick, please tell who the parents are. Once they grow, they will be moved to a higher rank.
There are also a handful of rouges. These are outsiders who opposed the Flock and they live on the other side of the island. They have been known to steal food, supplies and even chicks from the Flock.
You will also need to answer these questions before the rooster will let you into the Flock. Private message these to ChickLover98. Do not post them on the thread.

He tells you that TIME moves almost 5 times faster here than in the regular world. One day is equivalent to five days. You may not attempt to warp time.
The seasons here are Green Leaf, Fire Leaf, New Leaf and Brown Leaf. Green Leaf and New Leaf are times when you can raise young. Right now it is Green Leaf.


He also tells you the flock rules. You must obey these rules, or get omitted from the flock.
1) ALL BYC RULES!
2) Only one action per post during a battle. You MUST give your opponent a chance to fight back. You may not kill another chicken without the owner’s permission.
3) DO NOT get too bloody or intense. This is a family friendly zone.
4) You may not RP another person’s character.
5) Do NOT be inactive for more than a month, or your character will get deleted and you will have to make a new one.
6) No foul language. You all know where to draw the line.
7) Please, do not use texting abbreviations. Also, use correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Any violations, you will receive a warning. A second violation will result in temporary ban from the flock. A third will result in removal.

Appearance: Onyx is jet black with feathers so shiny that they shine greens and purples. His feathers on his feet sweep out, making his feet look gigantic. They also shine. His spurs aren’t very big, although nobody messes with him anyway. He towers over almost every other chicken in the Flock.
Personality: Onyx is a powerful leader, although he is a bit of a softie on the inside. He is caring and loving to his Flock, but he can whip some tail feather when the time comes. He is a loving mate to Cloudy and would do just about anything to protect her.

Other Info: Onyx came to Green Island as a chick whena boat that was delivering him and his mate to anther counry crashed. Cloudy was also dropped here with him. They founded Green Island as a sanctuary for abandoned chickens.

Appearance: Cloudy is quite beautiful. Her unique blue color is a smoky gray that makes her look like a cloud. Her frizzled feathers are her most interesting feature. She is probably the most unique chicken on Green Island. Her feet feathering curl upward, giving them the look of a broom. She looks almost windswept with her feathers. Cloudy is a big chicken, too, just under an inch smaller than Onyx.
Personality: Cloudy is sweet and caring toward all. She would make a fantastic mother and she wants chicks very badly. Her kindness balances out Onyx’s protectiveness. She would help someone in a heartbeat and was a medicine chicken before becoming Co-Leader.

Personality: Ginger is a really nice bird. She won't hurt ANY of her friends and family. She cares a lot for everyone around her. She was almost a mom one time. And might sooner or later. Her mate's name is Matt who is beautiful, kind, and a strong rooster.
