The Middle Tennessee Thread

Ok y'all DH does not think there is a weather radio out there where you can pick one county and what you want to hear. Ours gives us Nashville. Williamson and everywhere in-between for everything. So a little help please.

We have the midland wr-100 it's programmable by County as many as you want.. it was much cheaper than the one that you can decide which warnings you want.I only leave ours on during tornado type stuff..if it's just raining I switch it off so we don't get the flood warnings.Darn piggy bank always dictates what I buy...chicks or better weather radio-chicks win!! Now,if you don't program this one correctly you will get every warning in the range so really a good idea to program it how you want..unless you like annoying screeching while your trying to sleep

Who knows I may ship my DH off to AL to work..seems like there will be plenty there for awhile

I hope my little plants survive! My corn has just started poking out of the ground! My tomatoes are still small too. I hope it doesn't hail like it is in knoxville... my broody Silver Laced Wyandotte has a baby! So here's a pic of the one baby next to momma

Stay safe everyone!

Cute lil' baby, stanglover! I just love how the "peek" out!

1newegg, I got Midland S.A.M.E. all alerts radio from Amazon and it was less than locally, even with shipping. Can program only 1 country (but I want alerts for the 2 counties immediately to my west as we get impacted by weather from either) and I have it selected to only alert to tornado watch or warning. For all other situations a light will come on and I can hit the button to check out what's up.

Love it! For once the instructions are easy enough to understand that I, totally non-techie person, can program the thing myself. Put batteries in so if there's a power outage you don't lose your settings!

My girls are enjoying the swing on my screen porch - the water got almost into the coop just before the last round of storms came thru. I probably didn't need to 'rescue' them, but didn't want to wait and see ~ the water gets too deep between my house and theirs. I couldn't have reached them if it hadn't gone down and I was afeared more rain would trap them. They were none too happy about the catch and carry, but we all survived.

I'm exhausted ... had to go out a couple times to clear debris from fences to let the water out of the yard! Hubby's outta town. We had serious damage after the floods last May so I'm just thankful it's nothing like that this time. May have lost a whole bed of cabbage/onion/leeks - hope not!

Hoping my sister in Cullman, Alabama is alright, she's not answering her phone. Talked with a cousin who reported massive and widespread damage. Including the church I was in last Thurs for my aunts funeral.

How's everyone else doing? Has anyone heard from CityGirl? I know M'boro sustained alot of damage also. Let's hope this is the end of this stuff for awhile!

Jenski - where are ya?

Thank God that is over!

Got my girls off the backporch just at sun-up. Two more soft eggs! Dang, dang and dang!

One was probably laid by Gypsy, the other definitely by Betsy.....she had 'nested' on one of my chairs and snuggled into the cushions. Yes! I'm going to have to scrub the cushions! But there is a lump of orange/yellow that looks like it was a tiny egg or mostly yolk....no sign of shell. Also looked like it squirted out with some force as there was a trail to the edge of the cushion. Bets was the only girl on that side of the porch so
i doubt anyone else messed with it.

I'm watching her as she acted puny when released in the pen.....just standing around with her tail down.

I'm so tired of trying to figure out who's got what and how to handle it! My brain is tired!!!

Awe sorry to hear that. You have me stumped. I get one every once in a while but not daily:idunno. I hope she's ok jenski usually gets on here about 830 or so and usually has Internet problems during storms. I hope everyone is ok I know I was in the tornado shelter so many times it was one after another. I know my dog who hates storms will be super happy it's all over. The sun is shining going to be a beautiful day!
