Cute lil' baby, stanglover! I just love how the "peek" out!
1newegg, I got Midland S.A.M.E. all alerts radio from
Amazon and it was less than locally, even with shipping. Can program only 1 country (but I want alerts for the 2 counties immediately to my west as we get impacted by weather from either) and I have it selected to only alert to tornado watch or warning. For all other situations a light will come on and I can hit the button to check out what's up.
Love it! For once the instructions are easy enough to understand that I, totally non-techie person, can program the thing myself. Put batteries in so if there's a power outage you don't lose your settings!
My girls are enjoying the swing on my screen porch - the water got almost into the coop just before the last round of storms came thru. I probably didn't need to 'rescue' them, but didn't want to wait and see ~ the water gets too deep between my house and theirs. I couldn't have reached them if it hadn't gone down and I was afeared more rain would trap them. They were none too happy about the catch and carry, but we all survived.
I'm exhausted ... had to go out a couple times to clear debris from fences to let the water out of the yard! Hubby's outta town. We had serious damage after the floods last May so I'm just thankful it's nothing like that this time. May have lost a whole bed of cabbage/onion/leeks - hope not!
Hoping my sister in Cullman, Alabama is alright, she's not answering her phone. Talked with a cousin who reported massive and widespread damage. Including the church I was in last Thurs for my aunts funeral.
How's everyone else doing? Has anyone heard from CityGirl? I know M'boro sustained alot of damage also. Let's hope this is the end of this stuff for awhile!
