I just got an order for over $700 worth of chicks!!!!!! super excited! I now have 2 customers that are going in the eating egg business so they might keep me busy. one is also my roo guy....win win with him.

I have been kinda down since the auction was so bad but this picked me right up! that is about 6 weeks of feed.....yeah!

I had a bad week anyway. the man that married me and DH was on his deathbed before we got a call. had to rush to GA Sunday night and he died a few hours later. THEN when we got back WE got a call Tuesday that our 87 year old neighbor had died too. his funeral was Thursday and the preachers was Friday so we drove to GA and where almost late to the funeral. visited a bit and drove back. one step forward and one backwards this week.

Sorry to hear about you losses. But the orders got to make you feel a bit better. Bit nothing can take away the pain of losing a good friend.

I do have a question for you. The barred eggs we got from you, I know some of them were blue barreds Could there be any regular blue rocks. One or 2 of them have no barring on their wings. I know they still young and it could come in still. just was wondering. Love em though. Very pretty. And one of the biggest ones is one with no bars yet.

I bought a Brinsea mini eco incubator and set 5 eggs in it and all was going great. They've been in there a week and were growing great and this morning when I went to turn them, the incubator fan was running but it wasn't heating. Anyone know what could have caused this??? I've lost the whole batch, I'm sure of it. They were room temperature already.

my roos is a good shepherd roo and is double barred all my hens are barred so 100% of the chicks will be carried and the roos will be double barred. they take their time getting the barring...n.that is how come it is so straight. how many did you get?

thanks.

We had 12 hatch lost 3. They hatched 1 and 2 days later than the others and never thrived. Lost them in two days. The rest are growing like weeds. We have 3 that appear black and the rest blue. 4 or 5 roos.the blues are very nice. Thank you so much. Holly now has 14 blue, black and splash jersey giant eggs in the bator for us now

If you have it back up and running, leave them in the bator and see what happens.

Went to west ten state fair.we did good lot of blue . My black, fawn, creole oegb cocks all won first. a lot of hard work went into these birds . My little girl won 1st with her mottled Cochin bantam hen . Wife entered her lf splash Cochin cock and took home a well deserved blue ribbon don't know how she cleaned a 12lb roo lol . We are so happy for the tern out. it was a good show. We are jest happy for the wins we have worked with these breeds for some time and happy all the hard work has played off. Not boasting at all jest happy.
