There's an ad on craigslist from a breeder in Murfreesboro, south of Nashville. I've never dealt with them, but it looks like they may have what you're looking for: http://nashville.craigslist.org/grd/4168771032.html

They also have a website with pictures of their breeding stock: http://grumpygoats.weebly.com/silkies.html
She is the best! Her name is Tess and her birds are gorgeous.

I have two silkie roosters I need to rehome. I'm in East Nashville and will drive them where ever as long as someone will love them and take good care of them. One is white and one is partridge. The white one is just over a year old and VERY fertile. The partridge just started crowing this week. They're both very, very sweet. They are show quality.

Dm, I just gave them to Tess who's taking them to the chicken show in Sparta tomorrow to try and find them a good home. If not, they go back with her and will be part of her flock. The white one's babies all have perfect silkie toes and the partridge has the most gorgeous aero descent wing and tail feathers. Not exaggerating.....they're teal and purple....seriously. I'm so sad to give them up and I hope their ladies aren't too depressed. I need to move to the country. :( they'll be there tomorrow until 1.

Ok.... I can't get to sparta. I THINK I have a white silkie roo and MAYBE a Partridge not sure. I will find out tomorrow what I have. I know I have 3 silkies in one pen laying or maybe 2. I have a bantam in there too.

Good Luck finding them homes!

Don't tell Tess I said this but I hope they don't and she keeps them! I'll still be able to see them and know they're doing ok if they go with her. I like to spoil my chickens so I worry that they won't get the same treatment with someone else. If they're at Tess' I can drive out and give them treats and hugs.

If you want one, though, I'll call her and have her hold on to them for you. Django, the white one, makes pretty babies with perfect toes. You have to post a pic every once in a while though.

I have some 8 week old buff orps, barred rocks and a couple of welsummers. I hadn't planned on selling them until spring, but I'm always happy to be a chicken enabler.

PM me if you are interested.
I just wanted to say thank you for the buff orp and the barred rock. They are doing great and they are getting along very well with the houdan/silkie chick I put them with. The buff orp, Peggy, tucks her underneath of herself when they go to sleep so she is staying very warm! Peggy might be a broody hen one day. The barred rock, Liza, is determined to get out and run the yard every time I go to feed them. They're great! Thank you so very much.

Well my Rhodebars have done it AGAIN. I set 13 eggs in lockdown and all hatched 11 pullets 2 roos.....they do that to me all the time but that is the biggest gap I have hatched so far.

I think I also got another choc wyandotte from the slw cross.

Over all a really good hatch. Most baskets hatched 100%.

I didn't get to clean anymore today or count/tag birds that need to be sold. I hope we have another heat wave in the next few days.......

Was there someone that wanted some Barred Rock pullets..... I found 6 about 2-3 months old if that would work PM me. Going to put them on CL in a bit.
